WEATHER ALERT FOR WIND – THUNDERSTORM – RAIN PREDICTED IN UPPER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY DURING WEDNESDAY (EVENING) TO THURSDAY.
National Disaster Management Authority. Islamabad vide letter F.2(E)/2019-NDMA(MW/Alert), dated 19.02.2020 has intimated that Pakistan Meteorological Department has informed that moderate westerly weather system is
likely to enter upper parts of the country on Wednesday, under the influence of this weather system:-

- Light to moderate rain with wind-thunderstorm (few hailstorm) is expected in Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Mianwali, Sargodha, Khushab, Faisalabad, Lahore, Shiekhupura, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Gujrat, Sialkot districts during Wednesday (evening) to Thursday.
- Windstorm is also expected in D.G. Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Sahiwal districts during the period.
It is requested that all concerned may be informed to take necessary pre-cautionary measures in vulnerable areas during the forecasted period to avoid any loss of life / damage to public as well as private property under intimation to PDMA, Punjab.
