INSTRUCTIONS FOR ISSUANCE OF SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFICATE
FOR STUDENTS PROMOTED TO NEXT HIGHER CLASS

I am directed to refer your note for Secretary dated 22-05-2020 on the
subject cited above and to state that according to Section 120 of the Punjab Private
Educational Institutions (Promotion and Regulation) Ordinance, 1984 the Registering
Authority may, from time to time, issue such directions or instructions to the Incharge as
may be necessary to accomplish the objectives of the Ordinance, and the Incharge shall
comply with such directions or instructions within the time specified by the Registering
Authority
2. Further, the DRAs for private schools can issue necessary directions for
the purpose, in accordance with the provisions of Act ibid regarding issuance of school
leaving certificate with dues clearance
3. I am, therefore, directed to request you to advise the DRAs in Punjab to
proceed further, accordingly and immediately.
