Equivalence of Bachelor of Education (1.5 years) degree awarded by AllamaI qbal Open University, Islamabad.

With reference to your application dated November 05, 2019 on the subject, it is informed that
Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad is a chartered university in public sector. As per
clarification from Academics Division, HEC the holder of B.Ed (1.5 year) degree obtained after
16 years of non-relevant qualification is eligible to get admission into MS/M.Phil Education.
However B.Ed (1.5 year) degree obtained after 16-year of non-relevant qualification is not
equivalent to M.A Education/M.Ed.




It may also be noted that admission in a university for further education and determination of
suitability in relation to job requirement rests with the concerned university and employing
agency, respectively and this Commission has no role in such issues.
