Ahmedia channel declared illegal by PEMRA

DISTRIBUTION OF ILLEGAL CHANNELS
Reference may please be made to the subject matter.
This Office has, from time to time, been receiving numerous complaints against distribution of illegal channels especially Ahmedia channels including “MTA, MTA-1, MTA-1-Al-Awla, Ahmedia-1 (Urdu)” ete., however, despite inquiry, specilics of such distribution network(s) remained unavailable.

All Regional Offices are however dirceted to remain vigilant and to ensure that no such illegal channel is carried by any distribution service licensee.
In case of violation, stern legal action must be initiated against the violator including but not limited to seizure of complete equipment besides initiating process for cancellation of its license, in
accordance with law.
